Mike Richards came to First Choice Business Brokers with an extensive sales and business development background for over 20 years in Las Vegas, Nevada. Having worked in the medical device industry, he managed a sales team while also curating and negotiating hospital contracts. Mike’s extensive experience in the medical field serves as a significant strength in brokerage, particularly when working with companies looking to acquire or sell in the medical arena. Additionally, Mike has worked in the Commercial Real Estate industry, where he negotiated hundreds of commercial transactions with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Mike has a true passion for facilitating and negotiating complex transactions. Mike’s most valuable asset is his network—with an established set of connections across various industries, he is fluent in navigating the financing and evaluating of businesses from purchase to sale.

Nick has built, run, and sold several of his own businesses over the last 17 years. His industry experience covers service businesses, medical practices, law practices, and many others.  

He enjoys being an intermediary by helping business owners avoid some of the simple, but sometimes costly mistakes that can be made by buying and selling private businesses.  

Nick received a degree in economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with honors, and he earned his MBA in finance from Indiana University.  

In his spare time, Nick enjoys playing Pickleball and spending time with his wife, Jill, and their four children.

In my 20s, I along with my 90+ year old grandmother ran a successful small business together in Los Angeles. It was hard work, but very rewarding, and my grandmother and I became very close.

Upon my grandmother's passing at the age of 97, it was her final wish that the business be sold. So I sought out a broker who could facilitate this request, and I was fortunate to come across someone who was smart, competent, kind hearted, available at all hours, and a great communicator.

The business was sold in a short time, and at a price that I know made my grandmother smile.

Now a broker myself, I seek to provide my clients with the same top-notch customer service that my broker once provided me. Additionally, my career experience in a broad array of industries, along with a master’s degree in business & finance gives me a heightened understanding of the business world.

My name is Benny Plaksin, a Business Broker with a passion for lifting up those I work alongside. After earning my degree in Business from the University of Derby in the UK, I began the journey of owning my own companies as an ambitious entrepreneur. The companies I founded over the span of 20 years have reached incredible milestones. Not only did they garner more than one million customers and numerous awards, but they also allowed me to create new opportunities for myself and others. I utilize my marketing expertise as a certified StoryBrand guide, as well.

Today, I am proud to be a real estate agent with a business brokerage permit. What I love most about my career is being able to work with other entrepreneurs who have the same drive and passion I possess. These are unique individuals who know what they want but may need guidance to navigate the business side of their goals. Whether they are buying or selling a business, this is a life-changing event I am honored to take part in.

One thing that sets me apart from other brokers is my international capabilities. I speak English, Hebrew, Russian, and Ukrainian so that all of my clients feel confident knowing I am able to connect with interested parties from around the world. This opens the door to new possibilities and clears up any confusion that could arise with language barriers. I have been a Business Broker since 1981. First in Los Angeles, CA where I worked for some of the largest Business Brokerage companies rising to management positions.  Additionally, I was President of a boutique business brokerage I formed with two lawyer friends that was located in Beverly Hills, CA. I then moved to Las Vegas in 1994 where I continued my Business Broker career.  I continue to assist Sellers and Buyers in the purchase and sale of businesses, whether they are looking to sell large multi-million-dollar businesses or a small mom and pop one. In my long career, I have represented many business sectors including Manufacturing, Service, Wholesale/Distribution, Medical Practices, Restaurants (including chains), Drycleaners, Laundromats, Franchises and the list goes on. I understand how difficult the process of buying and selling a business can seem. Mike came to this firm in June of 2005. He brought 10 year’s previous experience as a licensed real estate agent, spent in California, primarily as a loan agent. His B.S. degree in Real Estate led to another 10 year’s experience in corporate finance and accounting working as a financial analyst, assistant controller and controller. Born in Kansas and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mike has held positions in several different industries including restaurant, auto repair, manufacturing, beverage bottling & distribution, sales and management. He refers to himself as “…a blue collar business broker, more than willing to do a good day’s work for a good day’s pay.”

I am a Marine Aviator and Vietnam Veteran. I worked as a Pilot for Eastern Airlines and after the airline bankruptcy, as a Corporate Pilot for Major Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos and VIP families.

I have remained an active Licensed Real Estate Agent Nevada and California since 1981 and hold a Business Brokerage Permit. My Business Brokerage career began in 1981 and I am a Charter Member of the Nevada Business Brokers Association.

I have sold businesses of all size and scope and maintain a certification to represent Buyers and Sellers in Medical Practice sales.
